Why product data is important
Product data is all the essential information about your products. You need to share this information about your products with the channels to creating listings.
Each channel has unique requirements for listing products, so when you import product data into Channable, we prepare your data by automatically mapping (matching) it to standardized project fields.
How to import your product data
Import via a data file or platform integration
You can import your product data via a hosted data file or you can import your data from your webshop platform.

Combine imports
If you product data is not all in one place, you can improve or add to your product data in Channable by combining data from different sources.
What you can do with combined imports:
- Add new products: Add products that are not in your original import feed.
- Enrich product data: Add information such as EAN numbers to your existing products.
- Add the same information to all products: Add information to all products in a new field.
Import from other webshop platforms
Most eCommerce platforms enable you to create CSV or XML data feeds using plugins or built-in features. If you can't do this on your own, ask your website developer or technical support team for help.

View your imported items
To see all the products you've imported into Channable, Go to Items in the main navigation.
Change the frequency of data updates
Channable automatically updates your product data once a day. This daily update keeps your product listings fresh without you having to do anything.
